Abstract

The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is essential for object-oriented development when designing large and complex programs. However, many users cannot design UML diagrams, because it is difficult to operate UML applications. In this research, we suggest and create UML diagram tools using AR technology and physical blocks. AR and physical operation are easy and intuitive rather than PC operation. The tool enables the creation of use case and sequence diagrams by placing physical blocks. After that, we verify the effectiveness of the tools from the sample creation works. As a result, it is possible to create diagrams faster than using PC, and the feedback received indicated that it is more intuitive and easier to understand.
